Career Technical College in Monroe celebrated its winter commencement recently at the Jack Howard Theater of the Monroe Civic Center where 107 graduates from across the region were recognized before a crowd of family and friends.

Commencement address was given by KTVE NBC 10 Evening Anchor Rudy Williams.

Recognized for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA while completing degree requirements were: Catrise Baker, Vicki Coulter, Josh Haynie, Katrina Morrison and Todd Peterson.

CTC student Denise England, who passed away in December before she could finish her degree, was posthumously awarded her Associate of Occupational Studies Degree in Information Processing. Her degree was presented to her family.
