Crusaders want to defend title
The Claiborne Christian School Crusaders begin defending their three consecutive LHSAA Class C state championships on Friday at the Rayville High School Tournament.
To add to the difficulties this year, the team still has five current players playing basketball and those players will not be on the field this week.
"We have five players still playing basketball," CCS head coach Chad Olinde said. "We will have a slow start. Once we do get the basketball guys back then it will be about getting them into baseball shape. Seeing ground balls and catching fly balls that sort of thing."
