Norris responds to homicides Two homicides in the same West Monroe apartment complex in less than two weeks prompted city officials to begin discussions on how to improve the situation in that neighborhood.
Late last week, West Monroe police officers found the bodies of two residents in the same apartment complex where a shooting death occurred roughly two weeks ago. The apartment complex is located at 409 South 2nd St.
"I realize this is something that really needs to be looked at very closely," said West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris.
"I'm hoping it's just an anomaly, and it's not a trend, but we're going to look and try to determine whether or not it is a trend," Norris said. "We're going to tend to it and see what we can do to make it better." .....For the full story, subscribe to the The Ouachita Citizen's NEW E-Edition! |
