Polar Bear Softball Classic returns
The "ping" of the metal and the scent of leather will be in the air all across Ouachita Parish this week as softball and baseball seasons get started for local high school teams.
On the softball diamond, teams from across the state will converge on local fields this weekend for a tournament hosted by several of the top local programs in the parish called "The 2011 Polar Bear Classic."
The West Monroe Lady Rebels will be welcoming Fellow 5A teams Airline from Bossier City and Live Oak from Baton Rouge as well as New Orleans 4A squads Beau Chene and Cabrini.
