Sterlington earns playoff home game
As the Louisiana High School Athletic Association released the boys basketball playoff brackets on Monday, the Sterlington Panthers (26-5) found themselves in a position that they have rarely been able to enjoy: earning a first-round playoff home game.
The Panthers will be the No. 15-seed in the playoff this year after earning second-place in District 2-2A. Sterlington will host No. 18 Port Barre (18-8) on Friday at 7 p.m.
Sterlington was headed on the road to No. 1 Riverside Academy at this time last year, and the change of scenery is something exciting for the Panthers.
