The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking assistance from the public to help identify or locate the man responsible for the 2005 deaths of two Monroe residents.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the suspect is a light-skinned, heavy set black male. He is wanted in connection in the shooting deaths of John Tyler Jones and Amanda Oliphant.

According to the Sheriff's Office, around midnight on Dec. 29, 2005, John Tyler's mother, Deborah Jones, was home when she heard a knock on her door.
