City clamps down on used car lot
An unsightly used car storage lot along North 7th Street in West Monroe prompted the Board of Aldermen to revise an ordinance pertaining to automobile storage.
According to West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris, automobile storage is a "use by right," but the city now will change that to "use by special exception only."
That "special exception" will be determined by the city's planning commission.
