Area law enforcers honored The Northeast Delta Crisis Intervention Team held its fourth annual officers awards banquet late last month at the Monroe Civic Center.
Northeast Delta Cit is comprised of all law enforcement agencies in northeast Louisiana and has over 350 officers and 200 dispatchers certified in the Memphis, Tenn. model of law enforcement dealing with mental health calls.
Honored at the banquet were the families of officers J.R. Searcy and Thomas Alexander, who were both killed in the line of duty in 2010. The families of Cheryl Sears and Suzanne Hatcher, police dispatcher and mental health provider were also honored.
