Panthers falter late vs. Farmers
The Sterlington Panthers were defeated Saturday by the Farmerville Farmers, 51-48, and finished second in District 2-2A behind the Farmers.
Despite the loss, the Panthers are still likely to earn a first-round home playoff game.
The Louisiana High School Athletic Association will make the playoff seedings official at their meetings on Monday afternoon, but projections from the LHSAA have the Panthers finishing in the top 12 of the bracket. The top 16 teams in the tournament will receive first-round home games.
