Carroll preps for Class 3A playoff return
The Carroll Bulldogs have concluded their basketball season this week and now wait to find out who they will host in the first round of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A playoffs.
The Bulldogs, state runner-up in 2010, entered the week as the No. 4-seed in the latest LHSAA power point projections. With such a high standing, the Bulldogs are all but assured of a first-round home game as the top 16 seeds will host first-round contests.
Carroll placed third in District 2-3A, one of the top districts in the state. Another local squad, the Richwood Rams, took second-place in the district and they are currently ranked No. 2 in the state power rankings for Class 3A behind district champion and No. 1-seed Madison Parish Jaguars.
