Column focuses on real estate I begin this weekly feature by asking "What is the purpose? What does it hope to accomplish? What is the benefit to its readers?"
Did you ever drive by new commercial construction and ask "I wonder what this is going to be?" or "I would like to know what they are planning there?" or " What is the latest in home construction ?" or "I wonder if I should invest in real estate?" or "Is this the time to buy a new home or open a new business?" or "Should I buy or renovate?" or What will interest rates be next year?" or "What is the cost of new construction?" or... or... or. the list is endless. For the answers to all those questions and much more keep reading each week. Besides it is great party conversation.
After 35 years in the commercial and investment real estate brokerage business I am convinced there is a real human interest in what is happening in our communities. There is also real interest in topics that affect our homes, our investments, our families, our communities, our future and our lives. Because we are all interwoven into the fabric of Northeast Louisiana what happens here is important to all of us. If a business closes or a new one opens we are all affected. Think about how State Farm closing impacted all our lives. Even if a small retailer or business closes the ripple affect is felt.
