LifeShare issues call for blood donations
LifeShare Blood Center officials are urging local citizens this week to donate blood in light of the anticipated winter weather.
LifeShare Blood Centers is the exclusive provider of blood for patients at 139 medical facilities throughout north Louisiana.
Phillip Thomas, spokesman for the local office of LifeShare Blood Centers, urged area residents to consider donating blood during winter weather conditions to help maintain a sufficient blood supply locally.
According to Thomas, winter weather for the remainder of this week could severely impact blood donations throughout north Louisiana.
