So many exciting events are happening in north Louisiana it is difficult to know where to start.  Dr. John H. Stubbs, native Monroyan and now New Yorker who is Vice President of Field Programs for the World Monument Fund, returned home to discuss the impact of his father, the late William King Stubbs, and his contributions to the architecture of north Louisiana and particularly of the Island Drive and Phillips Bayou area of our city. A presentation was made at ULM's great Biedenharn Recital Hall by John to a full house of North Louisiana's native sons and area leaders.

John was introduced by Neville valedictorian and scholar and La. Tech professor of architecture, Lestar Martin, who worked for Mr. Stubbs and wrote the signal book about his career with photos of the homes.  Lestar also catalogued his architectural renderings and drawings in the library at Tech.

Martha Jane Anderson retired from University of Louisiana-Monroe after 35 years of service as Assistant Dean of Students and SGA Advisor. She is married to Patrick H. Anderson Sr., has two children, and four grandchildren.
