Tickets are going fast for "The Jazzers" public dance which will be held at the West Monroe Convention Center from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5.

This group of 16 accomplished musicians performs music from the 1940s to the 1980s. The band, under the direction of Louie Devries, has been playing for 11 years. 

They are a non-profit organization and, as such, are holding this dance to raise funds to help purchase more arrangements, equipment and to pay the travel expenses of the members of the band. Members travel from Natchez , Miss., St. Joseph, Winnsboro, Delhi, Jonesville, Monroe and West Monroe for rehearsals in Winnsboro and dances in different parts of the state. "The Jazzers" are available for dances, banquets, military activiites, conventions, chamber of commerce galas, weddings, and private parties at homes, and country clubs.
