Monroe Transit has new manager
The city of Monroe has a new general manager for the Monroe Transit System. Quentarus "Q.T." Brown will take over as general manager, replacing former general manager Valerie McElhose, who recently took a position in Shreveport.
Brown has more than 10 years of experience in transportation, including public, administrative and project management responsibility. His most recent job was serving as transit operations manager for the city of Pine Bluff, Ark. Prior to that he worked in various transportation positions in North Carolina and Georgia. He also has extensive training in management, leadership, bus operations and other fields.
"This is an exciting time to be joining the Monroe Transit System," Brown said in a prepared news release.
