River Oaks battles CENLA The River Oaks Mustangs will visit CENLA Christian Academy in Alexandria on Friday in district play.
The Mustangs are coming off a 68-61 overtime victory over the Prairie View Spartans last week.
The game began on a somber note as PVA head coach Billy Pee was taken to a Monroe area hospital after experiencing chest pains. The Spartans came out with fire in their eyes and had an answer for everything the Mustangs could throw at them. The first-quarter ended with an 18-18 tie before PVA went on a scoring binge and took a 33-22 lead into the lockers at halftime.
