Weekly devotional and church listing: Jan. 20, 2011

As I have written before my seven year old granddaughter is always wanting to get her granddaddy something for his office.
The last couple of years she has given me plaques for my desk and I proudly display them for all to see. The first one was the word "Believe."
She told her mother that this fits the attitude that we all need to exude and have. This past Christmas she gave me another plaque and it reads, "The best things in life are not things."
What a tremendous blessing to me to see a seven year old child realize that earthly things are not as important as knowing Christ Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior.
