With freezing conditions expected to last through Friday and a chance of showers is in the forecast throughout the weekend, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office warned residents to be careful when driving.

The National Weather Service predicts a 20 percent chance of showers late Friday with a high near 45 degrees during the day and a low around 28 degrees at night.

Temperatures will begin to climb some Saturday as the National Weather Service predicts a high near 49 degrees during the day and a low around 39 degrees at night. There is a 20 percent chance of rain throughout Saturday.
