Seawall beautification project to be held on MLK Day

Volunteers are encouraged to joint the West Monroe Community Development Department for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King "Make it a Day On, Not a Day Off" service project Monday, Jan. 17.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Martin Luther King federal holiday. Communities are asked to participate in service projects to benefit their area.

The West Monroe Community Development Department will once again host the "Seawall Beautification Project" on the Trenton Street levee seawall.

Last year, more than 200 volunteers helped the community center paint the Trenton Street seawall.
