The Monroe City Council will consider the 12th change order on the construction of a new terminal at Monroe Regional Airport when the City Council meets Jan. 11.

An ordinance was introduced at the City Council's last regular meeting to authorize the 12th change order at the new airport terminal. Since the project began more than one year ago, there have been 11 change orders, increasing the cost of the project by more than $1 million.
Lincoln Builders of Ruston is building the new terminal, which is a $35.5 million project.

Anticipated completion date for the new terminal project is sometime in the first quarter of 2012.
