Extra patrols planned to catch impaired drivers Local law enforcement agencies will beef up patrols this holiday weekend, and officials urge residents to be cautious on the roadways and refrain from drinking and driving.
Ouachita Parish Sheriff Royce Toney said the Sheriff's Office will have extra deputies patrolling the streets over the New Year's holiday weekend to stop impaired drivers from causing harm to themselves or others.
