Church hosts gathering
Memorial United Methodist Church will host the annual "Gannaway Gathering on Sunday, Jan. 2.
Chaplain Col. Bill Willis Sr., Command Chaplain of Robins Air Force Base in Georgia, will preach the sermon "A Star Is Born," Scripture-Matthew 2, 1-12.
Willis is married to Judy Gannaway. Music will be provided by the family of Billy and Frances Gannaway and directed by John Smith, choir director for Memorial UMC. Gail Clark Parker will be the accompanist.
