Hamilton wins 3A coach award
Carroll head coach Jackie Hamilton was recently named the Louisiana Sports Writer's Association Class 3A coach of the year in football.
Hamilton, in his fourth year as the Bulldogs head coach, led the team to a 10-3 mark and a quarterfinal appearance where they lost to No. 1-seed Notre Dame.
Carroll won just three games in Hamilton's first two seasons as head coach. It was a tough time for the program as a young team tried to earn it's stripes.
