The Ouachita Parish Police Jury has yet to approve a $147,440 proposal from its parish engineer to recalibrate water gauges parish-wide.

Parish engineer Tom Holtzclaw provided the Police Jury Monday with his cost proposal for the project, but the Police Jury did not take any action.

Earlier this month, Police Jury vice president Walt Caldwell asked Holtzclaw and the parish public works department to present a proposal to the Police Jury at Monday's meeting that would identify the cost of tackling such a project.
