New Neville field house in works

Neville High School is getting set to open the first new on-campus structure since 1989. In a ground-breaking ceremony on Friday, Monroe City School Board members and Neville administrators formally introduced construction plans for a new state-of-the-art field house to be built next to the Neville football stadium, Bill Ruple Stadium.

The facility will be known as the "Coach Charlie Brown Field House". Brown led the Tigers to football state championships in 1972, 1983 and 1984.

The upgrade in facilities is something Neville coaches and players have dreamed about for years.
