The season of giving: Monroe students receive bikes
Dexterius Potts and Alicia Dunaway thought they were in trouble when Carver Elementary assistant principal Jennifer Small took them out of class Wednesday and drove them toward Monroe City Hall.
Once in the Monroe City Council chambers, the 9-year-old students saw bicycles displayed throughout the room.
Potts looked up at his assistant principal and asked if he could have one of those bikes. She smiled back at him, and said, "You sure can."
