That's a wrap: Christmas events wind down Local residents have one last chance to get in the holiday spirit as "Christmas on the River" wraps up the last weekend of major activities with several events, including the popular "old-fashioned Christmas."
Sheila Snow with the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau said if the public is not in the Christmas spirit already, it needs a good dose of the "old-fashioned Christmas." For the past two years that "Christmas on the River" has been conducted in the Twin Cities, the "old-fashioned Christmas" has been one of the most popular attractions, bringing in droves of out-of-town visitors as well as local people.
