The North Louisiana Economic Partnership will officially be formed Friday, Dec. 17, in what is being dubbed an "historic merger" between two economic development groups.

NLEP is a non-profit, regional economic development marketing organization. NLEP represents 14 north Louisiana parishes including Ouachita, Morehouse, Union, Lincoln, Jackson, Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster.

At 2 p.m. Friday, at Atmos Energy in Monroe, an official signing will be held between the northeast Louisiana and northwest Louisiana economic development alliances to form the regional group.
