Rebels finish year with loss in N.O.
Even without claiming the championship gold in the Superdome Saturday, the 2010 Rebels football team still has plenty to cheer about as West Monroe capped off another stellar season.
West Monroe went 14-1 in 2010, holding a 29-game win streak heading into the Class 5A championship game against Acadiana. West Monroe had not lost since the 5A title game in 2008 before Saturday.
The Rebels started off the season with a 68-28 romp over the Leesville Wampus Cats. Leesville jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the blink of an eye in the week one match up, only to see the Rebels score 42 unanswered points to take a commanding lead before halftime.
