Last time, as we looked at God's warning (II Peter 3:9-12) that this earth will one day burn up, I made the statement that not only does the Bible clearly say this, but that all atomic and nuclear scientists know this to be a possibility, but they are afraid they might cause it!

Some years ago, during the extensive under-water tests on atomic bombs, (they called them "explosive devices"), our newspapers carried an interesting report on one such series of tests. They were developing this super-powerful bomb using the fissionable material and latest discoveries they had developed two "explosive devices."

They had one small device by comparison to the other one, small. By comparison to everything else, humongous! They had one small one and one large one. They sailed away to the testing grounds of the Pacific to explode both of them and measure what happened…to see if what they expected to happen really happened.
