Christmas festivities continue

Christmas on the River continues this weekend with more holiday activities for the family and opportunities for Christmas shoppers.

Sheila Snow with the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau said this past weekend's activities were one of the bigger holiday events in north Louisiana, with people lining the streets of downtown Monroe and West Monroe for parades, fireworks and appearances from Santa Claus and his merry little helpers.

"The streets were full on Antique Alley and in downtown Monroe," Snow said. "I think everyone who came out had a really good time."
