More than 15 months after being awarded $3.7 million in disaster recovery funding, the Ouachita Parish Police Jury is still working out the details to move forward with implementing several drainage improvement projects.

It is a process several police jurors are frustrated with, and they let it be known at the Police Jury's regular meeting Monday.

The parish was allocated $3.7 million by the Louisiana Recovery Authority to use on drainage projects in response to problems the parish incurred when hurricanes Gustav and Ike passed through the area in 2008.
