Obesity rules damper school accounts
The Ouachita Parish School Board plans to disperse $80,000 to parish schools to help shore up each school's instructional fund accounts.
Action was taken Tuesday during the School Board's regular meeting.
According to Superintendent Dr. Bob Webber, schools have taken a hit in their instructional fund accounts due to limitations imposed on concession stand sales, which help fund those accounts.
