The Town of Sterlington has scheduled a 30-day public comment period for its hazard mitigation plan as part of a grant program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The plan will be made available to the public for 30 days at the Sterlington Town Hall, 503 Highway 2, Sterlington, LA. This comment period will give the public the opportunity to make comments regarding the draft plan for Town of Sterlington to be included in the 2010 Plan. Town officials are asking that the public take this opportunity to make comments regarding the 2010 Plan.

Under the direction of the Town of Sterlington, officials began work on the above mentioned comprehensive hazard mitigation plan.
