Gail Dupuy always leaves an empty seat at the table for her daughter, Leigh Ann Carlton.
Carlton was 17 when she was killed by a drunk driver on Forsythe Extension in Monroe in 2001. She lives on, though, in her mother's heart, and through Dupuy's efforts to encourage people not to drink and drive.

A photograph of Carlton is one of dozens of other pictures hanging on a Christmas tree at State Police Troop F headquarters.

Captain Kevin Reeves, commander of Troop F, said he wanted to put up the unique Christmas tree in Troop F headquarters to remind others of the consequences of drinking and driving.
