Chief Elg elected to board
West Monroe Police Chief Christopher Elg late last week was sworn in as a member of the board trustees for the Louisiana Municipal Police Employees Retirement System.
He was elected to the position after ballots were cast by active and retired members of the system. Members elected Elg by mail ballot in October.
Elg was sworn in at his first meeting in Baton Rouge last week.
