Parade set for Dec. 4
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The annual Monroe-West Monroe Christmas Parade, a community event produced by the Kiwanis Club of West Monroe and sponsored by Ouachita Independent Bank, will take place 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4.

This year's theme is "A Starry Christmas."

The parade will pass through downtown West Monroe and Monroe.

Grand Marshall for the parade is Miss Louisiana 2011 Kelsi Crain.

The parade also will include roughly 90 participating entries. Santa himself will bring up the rear of the parade, riding on a fire engine.

The parade is a part of the month-long Christmas on the River Celebration.

For more information or a parade route, go to www.christmasontheriver.org.
