"Flag of My Father," the feature-length movie entirely filmed and edited in Ouachita Parish, was selected to screen at the Big Easy International Film Festival in New Orleans. The festival will celebrate its selection of films from Friday, Dec. 10 to Thursday, Dec. 16, at Canal Place Theatres.

"Flag of My Father" will be joining films and documentaries from across the United States as well as the following countries: Hungary, South Korea, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. It will be showcased at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.

"Flag of My Father" is the feature film debut of R-Squared Productions and stars John Schneider (Dukes of Hazzard, Smallville, 90210) and William Devane (Knots Landing, Stargate SG-1, the West Wing). In September, the film also was featured in Projecting Hope Film Festival in Charlotte, N.C. and Pittsburgh, Penn. "It's very exciting to be recognized by our peers, especially in our home state," Director Rodney Ray said.
