The Ouachita Parish Police Jury plans to spend $9.2 million on several drainage and flood control projects during the 2011 fiscal year.

The Police Jury reviewed its capital outlay fund for drainage and flood control during its regular meeting Monday.

It was one of the last budgetary matters the Police Jury reviewed before completing preparation work for its 2011 budget. The Police Jury must adopt its overall 2011 fiscal year budget in December, before the new fiscal year begins on Jan. 1.
