Miss Monroe pageant this weekend
The Miss Monroe Pageant will be held at the Monroe Civic Center on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. The day will begin with the Little Miss Monroe 2011 Pageant. It will begin at 10:00 A.M. in the Bayou Room. There are five girls ages 5-10 who will be competing. The Miss Monroe's Outstanding Teen and Miss Monroe Pageants will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the Bayou Room.
This year's Miss Monroe Pageant host is Ms. Cynthia Millege, anchor for KTVE. There are six contestants in the Teen division and nine contestants in the Miss division. $6,000 in scholarships will be awarded this year. The Miss and Teen winners will also be flown to Las Vegas in January for the Miss America Pageant.
