The West Ouachita Senior Center hosted its "Annual Veterans' Breakfast" Wednesday and saluted the more than 400 U.S. veterans in attendance.

Mistress of Ceremonies, Sharon Turrentine, recognized all of the branches of the armed forces. Many veterans in the audience, over age 90, were commended and presented with a special token from the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. The West Monroe High School's ROTC posted colors to begin the patriotic ceremony.

West Ouachita Senior Center Director and Veterans' Breakfast Coordinator, Jeanette Ellington, assisted elected officials who served a delicious breakfast for the veterans.
