Thirteen outstanding educators from Ouachita Parish were honored Tuesday during Century Link's "Accent on Excellence" breakfast hosted by the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.

Teachers from the Monroe City Schools System who were honored were Rochelle Gooden-Williams from Cypress Point University Elementary School, Jonathan "Duke" Johnson from Robert E. Lee Junior High School and Jennett Hunter from Neville High School.

Teachers from the Ouachita Parish School System honored were Chantay Johnson from Sterlington Elementary School, Diane Roberts from Ouachita Junior High School and Maria Bumgart from Sterlington High School.
