Carroll plans on playoff run
The Carroll Bulldogs (8-2) will begin the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A playoffs at home this week in "The Dog Pound" as the No. 9-seed hosting No. 24 Port Allen (5-4).
Carroll is coming into the game on the heels of a 22-14 loss to their rivals, the Richwood Rams — a game in which the C-Dogs squandered an opportunity to claim another outright district title.
The Bulldogs took the championship in the end because of point differential that the LHSAA uses to determine a champion in case of a three-way tie such as occured in district 2-3A this year with Carroll, Richwood and Rayville.
