Have a good laugh, live longer

Since we have spent the past week with goblins and witches, I thought we should follow up with some humor to change all the darkness for a much lighter side. All of these humorous incidents that I share with you at the beginning of the column are historical incidents. They took place in my office while I was a State Farm agent. Each of them are true remarks made by some of my clients.

We sent out post cards to our clients inviting them to come to the office for a check-up on all of their policies. One lady came in and thanked us for offering her a free check-up, but she told us that she had just had a check-up. And her doctor said she was just fine. She thanked us anyway.

When we are insuring their assets, we have to complete an application on the item that we are insuring. We asked an insured if he had a lien holder on his motorcycle. He answered, "No, but I do have a kickstand." Remember that these are true encounters.
