Jackson pushes for tax election
The Ouachita Parish Police Jury may call an election in March for a property tax renewal proposition for Ouachita Correctional Center.
That's according to Police Juror Charles Jackson, who discussed the upcoming millage renewal Monday during the Police Jury's finance committee meeting.
During the meeting, OCC Warden Brian Newcomer also presented OCC's proposed 2011 fiscal year budget to police jurors.
