Planning under way for upcoming Miss Monroe pageant
The city of Monroe is gearing up for the annual Miss Monroe and Miss Monroe Outstanding Teen pageants.
The Miss Monroe pageant will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Monroe Convention Center.
The 2010 Miss Monroe Pageant awarded over $5,000 in scholarships and awards. The reigning Miss Monroe 2010 Hope Anderson was a top five (5) finalist at the 2010 Miss Louisiana Pageant held this past June.
This year, more than $6,000 will be offered in scholarships and prizes will include a trip to Las Vegas for the 2011 Miss Monroe and Miss Monroe Outstanding Teen winners.
