Monroe mayor declares support for Bruno
Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo has thrown his support behind Dr. Nick Bruno to be named the next president at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Mayo, who is a non-voting member of the ULM presidential search committee, voiced his support for Bruno Wednesday during the annual state of the city speech held at the Monroe Civic Center.
The University of Louisiana System board of supervisors is expected to name ULM's new president Friday at a board of supervisor's meeting in Baton Rouge.
