Several residents discussed their displeasure with the West Monroe Board of Aldermen Tuesday about the decision to close the Plum Street railroad crossing.

Kansas City Southern Railway Company announced in August it planned to close the Plum Street and Second Street railroad crossings.

Carl Gibson, who lives near the Plum Street crossing, and several other residents attended Tuesday's Board of Aldermen meeting. They were in attendance to question why they were not informed of the closing beforehand.
