OPSO hosts terrorism training class

More than a dozen area police agencies received terrorism training Tuesday thanks to the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office.

OPSO training officer Robert Brown recently contacted the Gulf States Regional Center for Public Safety Innovations (GSRCPI) about possibly hosting terrorism training at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Training Center and Public Rifle Range.

Members of the GSRCPI presented an all-day training seminar at the rifle range, which Ouachita Parish Sheriff Royce Toney offered to the group free of charge.
