Ouachita versus West Monroe
Every year since 1955, two of the proudest and most decorated athletic programs in Louisiana have met on the football field.
The stakes usually are the same—a district championship hangs in the balance.
Of course, the programs in question are West Monroe and Ouachita, which will square off Friday night at the Lions Den at Ouachita in a key District 1-5A match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The 2010 version of one of the areas best rivalries showcases the No. 1-ranked, defending Class 5A state champion Rebels, who enter the contest with a 5-0 record.
